Remember a few months back? I introduced a large-scale project called Climate Heroes.
In April I traveled to Denmark to make the portrait of the inhabitants of the island of Samsø.
Today I am posting a gallery of portraits made on the island on the project website. All of this was made possible with the help of the staff of the Energy Academy, in particular Søren Hermansen and Søren Stensgaard. And of course, the participation of the inhabitants of the island, to whom I am very grateful for their welcome.
Something strikes me when I watch this footage a few months later: are we just being so lazy that we move so slowly to change our behaviors and lifestyles? This video pumped me up when I watched it over after finishing the editing. This community achieved something that gives a real inspirational kick.
You will be able to flick through the Gallery of Portraits directly on the project website; and below is the first of the videos I edited with the interviews made during my stay.
Soon to follow will be a shorter version in the form of a web-documentary with sound and still images only, stay tuned!
This testimony is very inspirational, so I hope that this chapter of the project will be able to inspire the great many. Feel free to share it around!
I am looking forward to your comments and opinions below too. What do you think? Are we being lazy? Are we not doing enough right now?
