Last fall was quite contrasted. Alongside a short trip I did to Montreal to visit the creative scene there and meet a few advertising agencies (remember?), I did some very diverse images around sports: surfing in Portugal on the Atlantic coast (that’s a preview image on the left) and biking during the Red Bull skylines event in Paris’ Grand Palais museum (there’s a preview below).
Both were unique: waves on that Portuguese beach in the Algarve at the southern tip of Portugal were huge, and tumbling so loudly it was a genuine relief to leave at the end of the day. See that map below? We were right next to Sagres on Praia da Cordoama, at the bottom:
The Red Bull Skyline event was also quite exciting, with giant half pipes and wooden ramps built inside the iconic Grand Palais in Paris. The excitement of the riders was electrifying, and the show was really impressive. It is not everyday that you see bikers fly in the Grand Palais, a place where many famous artists have done exhibits, and that is home to Paris’ annual Art Fair.
