Climate Heroes is a documentary and advocacy media project that I started 5 years ago now, and which has taken up most of my time (and life), especially this year of 2015. I started working on it in 2010. Along the years, I was joined by Luke Duggleby in Bangkok, and other contributing photographers and scientific journalists around the world.
For the past 5 years we have been telling the stories of those women and men who work, every day around the world, in order to mitigate climate change, understand its consequences and allow us to be better prepared to adapt to it. Citizens, activists, scientists, or entrepreneurs, the Climate Heroes prepare our world as it will be tomorrow. By their positive example, they can inspire the great many to start acting now and mitigating climate change.
When I started the project, I really wanted to carry a strong and positive message, at the opposite of most of what we had seen in the news, and especially after the “failure” of the Copenhagen climate conference. I am extremely happy to be able to now present the project to the public on the occasion of the Paris Climate Conference, or COP21, taking place from November 30 to December 11.
The Climate Heroes project has received the official “COP21 – Paris 2015” label, delivered by the French Minister for Sustainable Development, Mrs Ségolène Royal, and the Secretary General for COP21. Below are the various public screenings and speaking engagements that I will have during COP21 in Paris. I would be stoked to see you there, if you feel like getting familiar with the stories of the Climate Heroes.
I hope you can join me in this exciting conclusion of 5 years of hard work!

After an introduction by Mr Ibrahim Thiaw, Delegate Executive Director for UNEP, this conference and screening will place man at the heart of the solution to act and mitigate climate change. By living a greater empathy with the living world, illustrated by examples of Climate Heroes from Buddhist monks to former industrial fishermen or illegal loggers in Indonesia, it will propose immediate action steps for our climate.
